WAYNESVILLE — A Waynesville man is in critical condition at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, undergoing treatment for a gunshot wound that took place Sunday morning.
Kevin Duane McLamb, 42, remained in critical condition Tuesday morning, March 30, at the Savannah Trauma Center, said Georgia Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Stacey Carson following the March 28 incident.
No one is in custody at this time, Carson said.
“We were called by the Brantley County Sheriff’s Department and requested to assist in the investigation,” said Carson. “The victim is still being treated,”
Carson said when the GBI completes its investigation, the information will be turned over to the District Attorney’s Office for consideration.
“I know that it was reported as a domestic situation, but as to what triggered the shooting I do not know yet,” said Carson. “The Agent-in-Charge had to go to something else this morning (Tuesday) and I have not had the opportunity to talk with him.”
Brantley County Sheriff Len Davis said the victim was first taken to Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center in Brunswick in critical, but stable condition. He was then transferred to Memorial Medical Trauma Center in Savannah where he remained this morning.
