Second death linked to coronavirus by Ga. Dept. of Health

Staff Report A second death has been linked to the coronavirus in Brantley County and nine more cases have been confirmed over the last seven days. A second 79-year-old female, this one with unknown health issues, died last week. The first death announcement linked to COVID-19 happened Monday, April 13. Brantley County’s cases has climbed to 20 since last Monday’s (April 13) 7 p.m., release by the Georgia Department of Health. There are 28 counties now with less than 10 confirmed cases, a drop of 21 in a week’s span. Glascock County and Taliaferro County are still the only remaining counties COVID-19 free.
