“We’re going down a road we’ve never traveled before. I’m fearful for the older people, especially those who are sick.”
Those were the spoken words of Brantley County commissioner Randy Davison during a called meeting to implement cautionary steps amid growing concern over the coronavirus.
With a unanimous vote during the Wednesday, March 18 meeting, all county buildings will be closed to the public until Monday, April 20. Modified operations for “essential services and programs” have been implemented in all county departments.
Currently, no coronavirus cases have been reported in Brantley County. There have been four confirmed cases in Glynn County and one in Charlton County.
