WAYCROSS — Mrs. Betty Ann Rowell, 59, passed away Friday morning, June 26, 2020, at her residence in Waycross following an extended illness. Mrs. Rowell was born in Clinch County but had lived in Ware County for most of her life. She served in the Army National Guard and attended Zenith Baptist Church in Manor. Mrs. Rowell was a daughter of the late Harvey Wilson “H.W.” Corbitt, Jr. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Ray Ray. Mrs. Rowell is survived by her husband, Glyn Rowell of Waycross; five children, Christopher Steven Booth of Jacksonville, Fla., Angela Michelle Davis (Ruben) of Waycross, Greg Allen Rowell (Robin) of Blackshear, Jessie Wayne Rowell of Nahunta, and Christy Nicole Rowell of Douglas; 16 grandchildren; her mother, Winnie Lou Chambless Corbitt O’Neal of Manor; four siblings, Wanda Beverly (Edward) of Manor, Richard Corbitt (Kathy) of Waycross, Linda Faye Strickland (Kenny) of Douglas, and Ronald Corbitt (Mary Lou) of Manor; extended family, David Ray, Michelle Ray, and Ceden Ray; and numerous nieces and nephews.
