NAHUNTA – Andrew “Andy” William Roberson, 63 of Nahunta, passed away Thursday evening, April 16, 2020 at the Hospice House in Waycross after an extended illness. Born in Brunswick, his parents were James Roberson and Myrtice Kirkland Roberson. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Clayton Edward Durden. Roberson was a truck driver and served in the United States Army. He was a member of Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed wood working and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Lisa Marie Lee Roberson of Nahunta; a stepson, Ryan South (Sarah) of Hoboken; a stepdaughter, Christina Rentz of Jesup; five step-grandchildren, Cannon South, Claudia South, Riley South, Morgan Rentz and Abel Hartmann; a brother and sister-in-law, Lawton “Bubba” Durden (Teresa); three sisters and brothers-in-law, Marquita “Fancy” VanKirk (John) of Arizona, Sabra Rogers Hardy (Bert) of Nahunta, and Angela Crews (Mitchell) of Hortense; step-mother, Eleanor Roberson of Hortense; his aunt, Jeanette Thrower of Brunswick; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
