NAHUNTA – Alneta Harris Wilson, 87 of Nahunta, passed away early Sunday morning, June 21, 2020, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick after an extended illness. Born in Screven, Mrs. Wilson’s parents were Richard Russell Harris and Mary Ted Tuten Sapp. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Sue Howard; a brother and sister-in-law, Harvey and Francis Harris; and a sister, Jackie Harris Nelson. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and attended Southside Baptist Church. She was a hard worker who loved spoiling her grandchildren, gardening, working in her flowers, and traveling. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Cullas Myres Wilson of Nahunta; two sons, Richard McKee Hall of Perdido Beach, Ala., and Al Hall of Berry, Ala.; eight grandchildren, Kim and Stacy Frazier, Rick and Casey Hall, Brad and Amy Hall, Carly and Tripp Haas, Dylan Davis, Erine Bennett Pritchard, Dana and Brian Sowell, and B.J. and Tracy Hall; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Ronnie Nelson of Baxley; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A graveside service was held Tuesday morning, June 23, 2020 at Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Johns officiating. Arrangements were with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
